Two Spirit Airlines brokers had been injured and one was hospitalized immediately after a dispute about have-on bags with 3 travellers turned violent on Sunday, according to a Spirit Airways spokesman.
Flight 646 from Detroit to Atlanta was boarding when the brokers requested the travellers to validate that their carry-on luggage ended up the appropriate dimensions for the aircraft, Spirit Airways spokesman Industry Sutton explained to CNN.
The passengers then became “combative,” according to Sutton, and the brokers “tried to calmly defuse the situation but were physically assaulted by these passengers as they closed a doorway to cease them from boarding the aircraft.”
“This violent habits is fully unacceptable and has absolutely no area in airports or any other spot of organization,” claimed Sutton.
“All of us at Spirit want the agents a fast recovery and thank them for their bravery and professionalism.”
The Wayne County Airport Authority Police Office arrested two individuals and a third individual was cited and introduced, according to spokeswoman Lisa Gass.
All three passengers are banned from any potential vacation with the airline, mentioned Sutton.
